Serving

  • Serve Behind Line and in between dashes
  • Let the ball drop if you do not like your toss
  • The Ball may hit the net on the Serve, but it can Not hit the ceiling or any other object on the Serve
  • Net Height will be set just below Men's height USA play

    • Receiving

  • May not block or spike a serve (Forward motion of hands in front of the 10ft Attack line or feet leaving the ground).
  • 1 block and 3 hits per side allowed, a player may hit the ball a 2nd time if it was tipped first.
  • No Carries (Lifts), hands must be closed and together then moving your hands from down to up.
  • Ball may be hit with any part of the body as long as it does not roll off of that part (Unless it is a hard driven ball)
  • No movement of foot when contacting the ball, your foot must be planted on the floor (This rule is for safety)
  • The ball must be on the plane of the net in order for defensive side to touch/block ball.
  • Cannot touch the net anytime during play and you can't cross the line under the net. You may cross the center line out of bounds only.
  • The ball cannot hit the ceiling/backboard and go over the net, however, the ball may hit the ceiling/backboard on your side during play.
  • Walls, bleachers, and all other obstacles are out of play at all times.
  • Back row must Jump prior to the 10 ft attack line in order to attack the ball (spike).
  • Scoring: Games are to 21 with Rally Scoring with win by 2 final scoring
  • No arguing with the officials unless you plan on volunteering to be one!

    • Other Information

  • This is a Church League; we will open and close with prayer for each match.
  • Encouragement should be the number 1 goal of each team playing.
  • Swearing and fighting will not be tolerated and will result in ejection of game.
  • Coed and at least 13 years of age with permission from Parent/Legal Guardian.
  • 4-6 persons on court at all times with at least 1 Female
  • Teams will have a max roster of 12 persons.
  • Each team plays each other at least once
  • Matches are 45-55 mins, and are run by the clock, regardless of actual start times.
  • 3 games to 21 pts each rally score constitutes a Match!
  • Cost: $150 per Team per season
